Commissioner's Meetings

Our next regular fire commissioner's meeting will be on Tuesday, July 14, at 4pm, at the Kendall Fire Station.

CPR Classes

The next FREE Community CPR Class will be on August 6, 6pm, at the Sumas Fire Station. Successful students will earn a First Aid/CPR/AED for all ages certificate from the Health and Safety Institute.

Nearly 80% of our calls are medical emergencies. The remaining calls are a mixture of structure fires, vehicle accidents, illegal burns, and a variety of other incidents

Outdoor Burning

The Whatcom County burn ban is at Stage 2 - NO OUTSIDE FIRES, no campfires.

Propane fire pits, propane and charcoal BBQs are allowed.

Looking to volunteer?

Minimum Requirements for Volunteers:

18 years old
Pass a medical exam, including a drug test
Pass a criminal background check
Have a valid WA State driver's license
Have a good driving record
High School diploma, or equivalent
